PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD DOESN’T WORK

PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD DOESN’T WORK BECAUSE THE USB KEYBOARD IS NOT RECOGNIZED IN DOS MODE.

TRY TO CHANGE THE PORTS OF THE USB KEYBOARD AND TRY FOR PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD,OR IF U GOT THE SAME PROBLEM . THIS TIME GO FOR BIOS SETTINGS.TO ENTER INTO BIOS SETTINGS RESTART YOUR SYSTEM AND CONTINUE PRESSING DEL ,NOW U WILL ENTER INTO BIOS SETTINGS.

NOW GO TO BIOS FEATURES SETUP THERE U WILL FIND “USB DOS ” IN DISABLED MODE BY DEFAULT TURN IT TO ENABLED MODE .THATS IT,EVERYTHING IS FINE AND PRESS ESCAPE AND SAVE THE BIOS SETTINGS BY PRESSING F10.NOW CHECK OUT THE DOS SCREEN “PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD” WORKS FOR SURE …..

ALL THE BEST 🙂

  7. Hello,
I want to boot from Windows Server 2003 Cd and it seems it is not possible. Whatever key I press the computer loads Windows Server normally. The curious is that I can enter BIOS by pressing Del, I just can’t boot from Cd.

  9. Thank you very very much! That advice about enabling the “USB keyboard and mouse” in the BIOS, saved me! Thanks so so much, I am currently doing the DANCE OF JOY.

  10. Your post helped me find the problem, but my problem ended up being that in the bios a setting called “FAST STARTUP” was enabled. I disabled that and was then able to enter a key to boot into the cd.

    Thanks for your post though!

  14. Thanks for this. I was on the verge of s&^tcanning my computer before I found this post. It was the last step in solving a very nasty PDF virus that destroyed my Master Boot Record. This allowed me access to “fixmbr” from the XP Restore console. I’d like to find a place where I could put my solution to this problem and give high visibilty to it so maybe it help someone like you have helped so many with this post. Thanks again.
